I was thinking of getting a new frame, but I'm not sure about frame value or what constitutes a good price.
Are either of these good deals?

Yeah, I don't mind that. I could build it up as a fixed just fine.
I'm just wondering if the prices are good for what those frames are. I don't have a good feel for vintage frame value. I'd like something that holds value in case I decide to sell it down the line.

I'm a bit torn between componentry. Should I sacrifice weight savings for looks?

Should I reinstall the stock fork on my cdale track? I have a wound up on it at the moment but I think it takes away from the character of the bike.

Polishing aluminum is extremely time consuming.
(read: scrod, why did you let me buy a black rim in hopes of polishing it???!?)

Well if you have access to a polishing wheel on a bench grinder or even better yet a high rpm stand alone grinder with polishing compounds... minimal effort EZ-PZ.

It's not bad, just time consuming.
