Anytime you buy on craigslist you need to haggle on the price, and the Langster is overpriced at $650, which is the new price, but might be worth up to $450 or so. The seller is trying to price in accessories, which you need to separate from the price of the bike. The Wabi Classic is a fantastic bike, and well worth the $695 new price, so if you can swing it you'll have a bike for life. Also, you can customize the Wabi for no extra cost with choice of gearing, crank, stem and bar size, and choice of saddles, bar and brake type and color. The only minor detail is that the Wabi does not include pedals in the base price.

Again, thanks. I appreciate the help. My mountain bike that I bought two years ago was my first bike since I was a kid (im 43). I'm trying to learn the ins and outs of street bikes (single speeds specifically) and am learning that I have a lot to learn

I am getting tired of the sloping top tube on my bolt. I got offered a 2011 super pista frame set for my bolt frame set. Should I trade?

Only if it's celeste, the "Italian flag special" one is hideous.

1. Cut your top tube off.
2. JB Weld it back on level.
3. Profit.

Don't hate on the mexitalian pizza/ christmas bike plz.

I can go for either. But if I was in your shoes, I would go for the bianchi with some normal geometry as opposed to unmerited faux pursuit. Only thing going for it is looks and hype.

Hello everybody.

Ended up going with a Specialized Langster...been riding it for a few days, and am digging it. But, I'm finding that my arms are getting a bit tired with the bullhorns on anything longer than a 5-10 minute ride. Will I get used to it, or should I switch them out for drops or something?

Make sure your back is taking a good amount of the weight from your upper body. You don't want to be supporting all of your upper body weight with your arms. As your back strengthens (as long as your fit is correct), your arms should become less tired.

As Seau said, pics of your bike and possibly you on the bike would help greatly. My random internet diagnosis is a tilted saddle.

Should I, switch from my threadless set up to a threaded set up with a nitto quillstem? Or just go buy another threadless stem?

If you think the cost will be outweighed by how cool your quill stem looks, go for it.

Should I switch to 28s? Been rocking 25s for a while, feel like I wouldn't mind a teeny bit more cush on the crackity-crumbly roads.

Yes, but I'd ride the crap out of your existing 25s and only switch when you're in need of a new tire.

I apologize if my question drags out but I do tend to run on, and for me it is a difficult decision:

Awhile back I bought a Maxway nickel-plated, lugged, track-end frameset from my neighbor. I have been gathering parts for my build since, still need a few things so nothing is put together.

I have an old Ciocc roadie that has been in the family since it was new. It originally belonged to my uncle who had a bike shop up north, and if it was in good shape would be extremely valuable. I took it away from my derelict brother after he spent the past few years trashing it. As too often happens in such things, my plan to restore it to its original glory got put on hold.

Yesterday my neighbor offered to trade me his heavily-used, but clean Cinelli Supercorsa Pista frameset in exchange for my Ciocc & his old Maxway frame back. He will leave the Chris King headset & a bottom bracket from some company I never heard of to fit a Campagnolo Record Pista Crankset on the frame and nothing else. I would have to change the bb to work with my already purchased cranks or get a Campy crankset & sell the one I have.

Should I take him up on his offer?

Should I get H+Son Sl42 or Mavic Open Pros? FWIW they would both be laced to formula hubs and price difference is only a couple bucks. Going on my TT Pro that is my main commuter.

Those are totally different rims, but I would go with the Open Pro because it is much lighter. If you could, I would try out an Archetype rim though.
