They should be at any Levi's store and maybe some other Levi's carriers. I tried them on and they felt pretty nice, but not $78 nice.
I'm 5'8" 120ish and I loves me some 510s. I'm actually glad that I can find pants nowadays that I don't feel like a clown in.

Anyways I'd probably get a pair if they offered a less baggy women's fit. It would be nice to go without a belt for quick grocery runs.

I'm glad a mainstream company is making a move in this direction but I don't want jeans if I can buy bike-specific pants. I do commute in jeans most days but riding feels much better when I go with my lighter cooler Swerve pants. Denim just isn't the best material for this

just playin.. but seriously i'm not sure how that ulock holder would work out. I wear athletic shorts when i ride, which look fine when riding or not

Actually, I also agree with frantik, basketball/athletic shorts looks fine. It's when people start wearing their sesame street pj's when **** goes bad.

im 6'5, 190lbs, and i swear by levi 510's and krew kskinny or older chad muska's. krew makes a bunch of their denim with stretch, and offer some slim styles for my slim legs.

How on earth do you fit into a 34 inseam? I'm 6'7 and 36 goes half way up my shins if I sit down.

I'm not sure I agree. I think a lot of those twentysomething males (including myself) will happily pay for higher-quality denim, and really, $78 for a pair of jeans isn't THAT much, especially if they last a long time. The designer denim craze of the past few years is a testament to that, I think.
This is obviously the fatal flaw in all of this.
The target market (meaning: slim, 20-something, inner-city dwelling, cycling, males who would actually wear this) can/will not spend $78 on a pair of jeans. Some will, but most won't.
If they were $35 they would probably fly off the shelves and people would own multiple pair.
I wear Levis 501 (non shrink-to-fit) exclusively. I will never pay the $60 MSRP for a pair. I wait for sales when they are around $35. I own about 7 pair (not counting those that I've retired).

"A" for effort. I'm glad that there are new products for cyclists. Especially from non-cycling companies. If they can figure out a way to lower the cost they will sell better. But, all of the technology and materials probably prevent that from happening. Cool project, though. And yeah. Low-rise probably isn't the best idea.
