Best riding backpack for anti-back sweat?

Best riding backpack for anti-back sweat?
I like the look of a backpack over a messenger bag and they feel better and more secure when riding. Thou I must admit the only messenger I have is a crappy timbuk2. I'm looking for something small to carry a lock, tablet pc/laptop 12 inch, an extra shirt, and maybe a water bottle. So a small lightweight water resistant pack is only needed.
However most backpacks I try leave a pool of sweat on your back. Should I give up and go messenger? Do they minimize back sweat?

I have Mountain Hardware Fluid 18, with a crazy ventilation system and I still get sweat. But I also live in Tucson.

yeah I bought https://www.buy.com/prod/deuter-deute...217492668.html a while back & I still sweat my ass off. You can't stop it. Though it's much much better than it used to be.

I still get a sweaty back, but it's MUCH less sweaty than any other backpack, or even most med-large messenger bags for that matter. This time of year I get a sweaty back even with nothing on my back.

Here's the thing--a waterproof bag is going to repell sweat. It's just going to soak up right onto your back.
I have a Mission Workshop Rambler and even with that cushy floaty mesh back I still get sweaty. But in the end, I'd rather have my stuff be dry through SF rain than anything else.

Seems like trunk bag would be more apt for the load he describes. Get a good shock case for the table though.

In my experience, messenger bags do not eliminate back sweat at all. They just give you the "Messenger Sweatstain" which is a completely soaked back and a diagonal band of wet across the chest.

Deuter Air-comfort 28L is a great pack for cycling or jogging. It has a frame which makes an airspace between your back and the pack. My back never gets sweaty.

Yep, suspended mesh backs are the bee's knees! I wouldn't get a pack with out that.
The Marmot pack I linked above has a suspended mesh back also.
