New Steamroller Colour

Has anyone seen or better still got any pictures of a Surly Steamroller in the new colour?

It's supposed to be "Metallic Charcoal" and I was wondering if it looks as good as it sounds.

Steamroller happens to be a very good and durable frame, if not the quickest nor lightest

But I almost forgot. They are still listing Gravy Gray here: https://www.surlybikes.com/steamroller.html.

But man, they have those pink 1x1s back and boy are they hot. Almost wanna buy one just because I can put it on a credit card.

Saw all the new Surly colors in person recently. I feel that the new selections all are improvements upon the colors that will be eliminated.

Hardly...
All Surly frames are welded in Taiwan by MAXWAY CYCLES ENTERPRISE
https://www.maxway.com.tw/

Maxway has a good reputation for high quality.
Maxway, a rather "boutique" maker of frames, when compared to the "giants" of the industry cranking out medium quality at high volume.

Holla!

Taiwan actually IS known for their good tig welding. Most decent frames are made there. Note the brands that Maxway builds frames/components for: Jamis, Ritchey, QBP(which means Salsa if I'm not mistaken), Greenspeed, Rans(one of the best recumbents), VooDoo.

I have a friend who works for SRAM here in Chicago. He goes over to Taiwan a lot for his job to look in on the plants, coordinate tasks, and get really drunk and call home at 12am.
His antics aside, they have great production facilities, as well as bad ones. Maxway is definitely one of the better ones.

I'd like it better if it were Metallic Charcoal.
