Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

New stem and seat post to brighten up the black frame. I want to slam my stem and get rid of the spacer stack, but I'm chicken.

looks sweet. you don't have to cut the steer tube to slam the stem, try it out first. really good looking though don't know if you really need that setback...

Thomson "setback" posts have less offset than most standard seatposts.

Yeah, they give you about 10mm. A typical SR Laprade or Uno seatpost is about 20-22mm. High setback posts are usually 30+

Almost done with this build.

Got a new front tire after I popped my last one, slammed the stem/cut the steerer tube, got new Deda compact drops and brake hoods, found a Campy delta front brake, replaced my saddle with a Fizik, and added a second cog to my fixed/fixed Phil Wood for windy days. I'll go clipless soon, then rebuild the rear wheel to use the bladed spokes and call it finished. I'm still working on the saddle angle; didn't have my allens with me at the time of the photo shoot.

Damn. Doing it MAD right with that Vigorelli.

I present: my Bolt. Installing the FSA 49T chainring I just got in the mail today.

Crappy cellphone pic and crop fail (it was way crooked, so when I straightened it out, it chopped the back tire).

Many of these frames cost the equivalent of a plane ticket across the Atlantic. Any of you guys have insurance?

I don't have a Cinelli, but I have renters insurance that I was assured would cover my bicycle if anything happened to it(insurance agent is also a cyclist). Said if it falls off of a cliff, burns up in an apartment fire, gets stolen, hit, whatever - they'll cover it.

I agree, it's a good looking wall. Better looking bike though.
