Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I could have just moved the bridges and left it with a high bottom bracket, I spent a week or two looking at it deciding what to d.

nice work! clever replacement of the bb
looks like you stiffened up the structure quite a bit compared to the original.

what kind of welder are you using?

I did think of the Obree option when I first had the bike a few years back, but funny you should mention that as I added to a post earlier on in the alternative bike section saying that I'd like to try and make a replica of old faithfull, that really is an awesome looking bike. Great bike, great rider and his book is an absolute brilliant read
