Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Basso Pursuit bike on eBay

I saw this on eBay today and thought you guys would be able to appreciate it (if you can get over the half link chain). I have no idea if this guy is on or near the money with a $2000 reserve but it sure looks nice. Any other poor college students want to do a 10-way timeshare on this baby?

The half link chain is totally like a third nipple on a otherwise super hot sqrl. Massive turn off but like the latter, it can always be fixed/ redeemable =S

I'd wait for the opinions of those who have actually ridden such a bike.

the thomson post is out of character. needs campy aero of course...or maybe a supertype? wheels are dorky too, but i'd forgo pure character here (32h 3x box-section) and go with something more functional...30mm kinlin, 24/28, paul hubs?

not at all my thing, but a very cool bike indeed.

i once built a 650/700 pursuit frame up. quick around the block. instant part out. useless unless actually DOING PURSUIT. forreals if you ride where cars go, dont. properly surveying your surroundings while riding impossible.

serious, my dick didnt even move
