Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'm switching from cross-top brake levers on drops to bar end levers on bullhorns, so my cables and housing are now too short.

I think it turned out well for my first time. Tomorrow I'll put on the white fizik microtex bar tape.

i've run in NYC before with white running shoes that were literally black after a few miles. good luck keeping that clean!

looks great, cant wait to see this one built up. i dont really care for the aesthetics of those bars, but if they work for you, thats really all that matters.

I bought all the parts for my road bike build (I think...). Now I'm just waiting for the parts to be delivered. Hopefully she'll be done/rideable by the time I go home for break (just in time for a ride or two).

I dunno about the bars, but hey, I got them for free! Can't argue with that!

This weekend I'm tearing down my Cannondale cross bike after a season of racing. I plan to move the EC90x fork and rival group over to my Lemond Poprad. I'm hoping this will result in a better fitting, better all-round cross bike. The Poprad should fit and ride better than the Cannondale being built with OX Platinum. The CX9 was at 18lbs with racing tubulars and I'm hoping to get the Poprad close to that. I'll post a pic when I get everything transferred.

I'm rebuilding the 1988 Santana Arriva that I bought off of eBay last spring, and upgrading the drivetrain/controls to Shimano 105. I will probably rebuilt the wheels as well because I hate Ambrosio rims, and I expect to swap out the bars and stems as well. I started this rebuild right after I bought it, but good weather led to riding rather than wrenching.....
