Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

If it fits it is a perfectly fine deal. You may end up replacing a bunch of the parts but it is still a good deal. That said please post these questions in http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...raigslist-find

Yup.

Test it, take it around the block (if the seller's willing to let you do that). If you think it feels comfortable (given that it might be your first time riding fixed, it may feel a little strange), buy it (or take it, if that's your thing).

Looks like a decent deal if it fits. Are those SRAM cranks? I can't tell if they're S100's or S300's, though.

Wow, no way in hell I could've scooped such a ride for $220 in NY. I see one hanging for $450 on CL. Reminds me when a Lo Pro was listed on west coast for $200 = (((((((
