Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I know a common practice in Motor Paced Racing is to turn the fork around to allow for the closest position possible behind the pacing vehicle (motorcycle/derny) to maximize drafting.
Although I am not sure on the ones above. Those look F-ing sadastic. Did Kafka design those for the damned?

They claim it improves efficiency and comfort. I'll buy the efficiency because of the insanely steep frame angles. Comfort is a different question. The fork has tons-o-rake obviously and the stupid-long frame may flex more, but that seattube is just gonna smack you upside the base of the spine all day.

Just because you can do something different doesn't mean you should.

straight up and down...good design for a pile driver. but ouch.

i'd like to ride one, for a while, just to get a feel for it, because i cannot imagine how weird it would be, just from looking at its whacked out ugly self...

Talk about lots 'o' trail...I'll bet they won't turn without violently turning the bars.

Not quite, but close. As was recently discovered, these bikes were mentioned in a chapter of Dante's Inferno that was cut out by his editor prior to publication because, in the editor's words, "Even God can't punish someone that much."

Fun in the components section! I cannot pretend that there may not be a reason behind their frame/fork/stem configs but I cannot pretend to understand them either.

But I really dont get the advantages of the
"Punch you in the f***ing face if you hit anything larger than a flat dime training stem/bar assembly"

It'd be fun to buy some components and take them to the LBS for installation though, hehe

"No. NO You don't know what you're doing! You're putting it on wrong, that stem is supposed to face ME"

Hahaha!! I *GET* it! The whole freaking thing is a joke! Nobody could have possibly designed that seriously! They're just waiting with baited breath for the first person to mail them about how that setup revolutionized their riding experience so they can sit around and laugh at the poor moron.

I actually kind of like their stems (not the crazy time trial one). They have a quirky look to them.

Those frames look ********, though.
