Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Okay, now I know how to build a fixie. You buy a Bianchi Rekord and hang it up side down from the ceiling with a string. FIXED!

Hey, a tutorial on how to ruin a bicycle frame. And this is the perfect forum for it No one here knows how to render a bike practicaly useless.

Someone should start a blog on how to restore this bike.

to victorvg84, courtesy of babelfish.
Porque nadie aquí en el foro de la obra clásica y de la vendimia quiere ver una bicicleta destruida quitando las piezas útiles.

Probably would get a better response on the FG/SS forum. Good luck!

I tried to send him there on post #3, not sure why he hasn't gotten the message.
That appears to be the most appropriate place for his post.

Appears he's posting here to get a response.

Not sure why, perhaps he's confused because his frame is C&V

This is one of those times I wish I could burn a blog or a webpage to the ground, but you can't...because they're made of internets.

I think he was just on the wrong forum for what he wanted to know. A lot of us have ss/fixed gears.
I build them all the time and sell them. Best way to sell a $200 bike for $350 that I know of.
It's not in the landfill, someone is using it, and probably the best transport around, win win win.
I can't get any young women interested in ss/fixie mixte's though. No market here for those.

Basically, I can barely understand the posts in ss/fixie. I'm definitely too old for that lingo.
