Does anyone know what that structure below the bottom bracket is? Looks like a small splitter plate for the rear wheel.

Wow, that seems to violate common design criteria. Cantilevering the BB like that reduces triangulation and therefore rigidity. You can see where they have gusseted the sides of the BB to maintain some lateral rigidity. Very interesting.

Points off for having a cheap (open cam) QR in the front. Additional points off because it's on the wrong side of the bike.

Now I want to see a full-on Thundercats dropout.
