Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

SS ride, very dry Folsom Lake.

FG ride. Sacramento Northern Bikeway bike trail bridge over the American River. Notice the abandoned boat next to the railroad bridge (above my front wheel in the pic). It's been there at least a year, maybe longer.

Warm temps forced us to pedal pavement last night, so we hit a few breweries to keep it interesting....ended up with 102km.

Got to use my new GoPro today, these are just screen shots so the quality is less than it actually is.

I've also realized that the wide angle lens plus my weird body = man boobs in video.

Hardly, that ride was really disappointing. Was some group ride with some new team. Only like 2400 feet of climbing and only like 20 miles. Should be renamed San Bruno Hill.

Ride in the mountains yesterday.
Those huge rocks seem like a lot of work to have stacked let alone balanced into a wall.

That canal causes a cool optical illusion because you feel you are climbing and yet the water is flowing "uphill". As seen in the pic the water is flowing away from you, but you are obviously climbing.
The water eventually flows into this reservoir.

Battery Park in Baton Rouge. Perched atop one of the tallest climbs around here... about 25 feet.
