Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Frame painting in DC/VA/MD

Any body on the east coast know of a good place to get powdercoating/liquid done around here. I tried to go to a auto painter here in DC and they just laughed at me, i guess they thought i just stole this bike and wanted it to look different.

i tried the ol spray can method on my first bike and it looked pretty rad for the first week now it looks completely flat and there's scratches and chips out of the arse. im gonna let a pro handle it this time.

Any help would be great

I have a couple of friends who have used a place in WV, just over the Maryland line from Hancock. Really good prices and the work was good too. Post the question to the Mid-Atlantic SS list in my sig. and they should be able to help you. Actually, if you search the messages on there it may already be there, I seem to remember someone asking recently.

Every town usually has its powder coating depot, have you checked your loacl directory like yellow pages? WOA; I wouldnt bother going down Bobs Autos... there just big men with oily hands and alpha male 'get off my patch' brains. They wouldn't put primer on either..just straight over the original whilst your away.
