trends:
deep wheels are out, low profile rims are in.
compact drops are the new thing. and nitto rb-002.
forward sloping top tube frames are 'okay'
(scrod rides a kagero)
kilo tt is still the kilo tt of inexpensive track bikes/frames
cinelli mash is the 2005 bianchi pista concept of 2011
(with the kagero a runner up)
latest SS trend is SSCX (sorta)
capitalization is out of fashion

militant fixed gear advocates are no longer welcome
general view is that bikes are bikes and we love to ride them (except recumbents and FGFS)

Agreed. Greatest SQRL ever.
Oh, and Scrod's business is getting a brick-and-mortar location in a 300 year old building.
Welcome back.

Yeah, they're only 16mm of setback. At about $80 new, most people will choose to just slide the saddle back. If they're already maxed out in the aft position they'll just go for any other setback post which is usually 20-30mm.
