I need help dating a BEAUTIFUL Frejus Pista (approx 1958-64)!!!
Hello. I was recently lucky enough to score an amazing Frejus track bike. I originally thought that it was made in 1958. I thought this because it has the original Campy pista cranks with the dust caps on the inside of the pedal threads. The cranks also have the black Campagnolo chainring bolts which identify them as being made in 1958 (as far as I understand)
The front hub is Campagnolo with a track axle, but it has the black oil port cover which is generally reserved for road application. I have seen several older (1960s) track bikes with this front hub.
The paint and decals are in very good condition. No rust or dents. The Reynolds sticker looks to be accurate to the 1958 production year. Everything has a great patina. Original pista headset, BB, Inch pitch drive train, Campy 2 bolt seatpost, and Italia saddle.
Serial number : 101170 stamped below the seat cluster on the seat tube.
I know everybody interested will want to see pictures, so I will gladly post them soon

I'm about to light it up with pictures. Here is round one of two. I currently have the bike dismantled for cleaning and identification.

I think the pearl off-white section one which "Frejus" is decaled is hand painted.
