My bike is broken. I need a new one.

Someone took the wheels off my brandnew Raleigh Rush hour and hacked half-way through the frame. My bike is ruined (whatever's left of it.) The only thing I salvaged was the u-lock. They even took the seat. I guess they were unable to remove the crank-set so they tried sawing through the frame.

So I'm getting a new bike ASAP. It's ****ing Spring. I've been looking into the standard builds for the Surly and the IRO Mark V (they're both within my range.) Which of them comes with the best wheelset? IRO or Surly? Any other recommendations in the 600 to 700 price range?

Wow, that one looks nice. Thanks, I'd never heard of it.

I'm getting seriously paranoid nowadays. My bike is always in my presence, but the sheer number of theft and vandalism threads as of late has me wondering if I'm doing enough.

Time to look into a 5-foot cable to thread through my own belt loops.

On the other hand, I'm sorry to hear your situation Mr. Hobbes. That sucks and I hope you find a solution. The Wabi is a pretty nice looking bike.
