Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I see no issues buying a lot of that no-name stuff off ebay, but that frame has two big issues.

Seatpost tube diameter: 25.4mm and 8.8lbs. Not to mention with shipping it's $170. For $250 you can get a dawes off bikes direct. Even using the cheapest possible components you couldn't build that frame up for less than that and it's be crap that weighs 25lbs

Yet there's the same amount of corruption as the mainland. I wouldn't be surprised that children built all Chinese and Taiwanese frames... Poor children forced to learn how to TIG weld before learning how to count.

Does it really matter all that much, the frame's a tank and would avoid it.

/thread.
