Ultegra Dobule for fixed?
Hi,
Im working on my first conversion and have a line on a cheap 2003 ultegra double crankset.
Im trying to figure out if this will work with my chainline.
Ill be runing a surly hub and a durace rign from sheldon gives me a ~43mm chainline.
So the quesiton is with a 109.5mm octalink bb whihc gives a 43.5mm chain to the middle of the crankset... Which leaves the inner right around 40? Do you think this would work or do I have to find the xtr octalink bb at 112mm?
thanks
luke.

Is it a double or a triple? Running a road double with its specified BB length will result in a 42-43mm chainline for the inner ring. I just did this with a Sugino road double, 107mm BB, and a Suzue basic hub. Works great.

OK that's what I was hoping, that the stock double would line up on the inner ring... Thanks!
Actaully as i discovered while researching this XTR uses shimano's road spline, while XT/LX use the fatter different spline (silly eh)
