Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

this is the bag that one of the "entry level" messenger companies sells to employees who do not already own bags. as a testament to how short a career first-time messengers usually have, that company is probably the largest seller of messenger bags in the city. in the fall, when that company overhires, there is a sea of purple bags on the city streets.

BTW -- they sell their bags for $40, so this guy only wants to lose $3 on his investment. i find that kind of amusing, too.
