Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Fuji Track Aluminum?

My friend has been looking at this bike http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/3223720343.html, the seller is saying that it is an aluminum frame. Most of the fuji track frames I find are alloy. Is this guy bs'ing or did they make a fuji aluminum track frame.

Thought so, do you happen to have a link to specs from whatever year that is, all I can find is stuff on the track classic.

EDIT: Nevermind, found it. 2006

It's a good bike, but I definitely wouldn't pay that much for it. It's used, six years old, and MSRP was $500 when it was new.

Yeah thats what I'm going to tell him. Wow, 18.8 for a steel bike thats not bad. The weinnmans probably push the weight up though

I'd offer 200, maybe go as high as 250. I've seen them sell at those prices with comparable or better builds.

It depends on the bike prices in your area. That bike is better than anything you can get off BD for $300. But maybe there are better deals on other fixed gears around there.

Bike prices seem to be relatively high, my friend is into the matchey matchey stuff, so I had to talk him out of like state bikes, and bigshot. I think if this guy will go under 300 it will be a good deal

Irrespective of this bike being steel, if someone says something bikeish is alloy, they mean aluminum.

in the real world, steel and aluminum are both alloys
