Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

World Track Championship Tickets For Sale....Los Angeles

Yo Yo Yo...

I just bought my tickets to the 2005 World Track Championships that are being held at the end of March in LA. To my knowledge this is the first time they have ever been held in America...

The ADT Event Center only holds about 3000 people and the world cup event in December sold out a few weeks in advance. If you were smart you would plop down the 150 dollars for this event. Hope to see a few of you out there and watch Theo Bos kick everyones ass in the match sprint.

Tickets went onsale Friday. I bet they will all be gone by the end of next week.

S/F,
CEYA!

Yeah 1986 was the road championships. Before that in 1976 montreal also hosted the world road championships.

I am talking about track world championships. not something you ever get to see here in america......

maybe i will get a press pass....

mercyx won in '76 giving him the triple for the giro, tour, and worlds...first and only time that has been done. last year at the NACCC there was an alleycat that featured the Mt. Royal climb that was in the road race. I did it once...i was dead tired...eddy and the rest of the world riders did it 18 times that day...

peace

How did you get your tickets? They don't go on sale until end of February? That's according to the velodrome ticket office manager at ADT. And Ticketmaster hasn't even heard of it yet.
