Sunday fixins in Boston
Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.
To that end I'm going out tomorrow. I haven't ridden my favorite bike in better than a week and that sucks. It's supposed to snow tomorrow night (awesome), so I need to get out and run. While I'm a bit tipsy as I write this, I'm hoping to remember it tomorrow. My intention is to be at Trinity Church in Copley Square tomorrow at 1pm. Anyone who would like to go for a ride at that time should meet me there. I'll be on an orange bike with bullhorns.
There is no planned route though I'd certainly be up for one, so bring some ideas. On the other hand we can just spin through the city for a while too. One thought is to end up at Red Bones in Davis Sq as I got a hankering for their corn fritters. Or while we're talking about BBQ, Blue Ribbon in Arlington is tits. I could be there too.
Anyhow be there or...well, don't. I'll swing by and if nobody's there that's cool too.

We should do that. I did a quick 25 mile spin through downtown, through Somerville, up the Minuteman to just past the bike shop, then around and down through Cambridge, more downtown and back home. It was nice though my toes could have been warmer and I should have switched out gloves for something heavier.
I'm pretty thrilled about this snow. I'm gonna go out and tear it up either tonight or tomorrow.

Ah yes. The long overdue Boston ride. I missed this post on Sunday which sucks because its been a while since the fixie has seen the road. I can't do it this Sunday as I will be out of town but count me in for any future rides.
Mmmmmmmmmmm. BBQ

Just FYI, I think I'm still planning on going out Sunday even if the snow is flying like a mofo. In fact maybe even more so. I've got the fixed mtb and I'm dying to roll on a few more miles.
For planning purpsoses.

I think I just may be into a liitle spin around the city with the coaster bike provided I can get my fork drilled by tomorow.

Damn tempting, but other plans interfere. Keep the beantown crew posted generally, 'cause I need to do something other than my standard commute once in a while, even if it is wicked cold. (BT, save the "quitcher whining" response! I know that what doesn't kill me will make me stronger and so on, but half the joy of living in this part of the country is kvetching about the weather.)

Tonight...Snow...Heavy at Times. Blowing and drifting snow causing whiteout conditions at Times. Strong winds. Lows around 14. Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph...Increasing to 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 60 mph after midnight.
Sunday...Snow...Mainly in the morning. Total snow accumulation of 20 to 30 inches. Strong winds with highs around 20. North winds 40 to 50 mph...Decreasing to 30 to 40 mph in the afternoon.
I said it before and I'll say it again. BT you are insane!

I really want to do this, it's going to bring back all the old messenger memories for me and should prove to be a blast. If any of you folks want to do this I would be willing to bring down some disposable cameras so we can document the ride. Kind of think of it as a frozen dumbass critical M******* ride.

I'll bring the digital too. Depending on the wind I may end up with the 52" freewheel gear instead of 61" fixed. We'll see.
Plan on 1pm, Trinity Church. Dress warmly.

Oh, and check here just before you head out just to make sure that everyone hasn't bailed. I'm expecting to cowboy up though barring complete civil unrest.

Over by the benches and the fountain ("water feature"?)
Really I don't think it should be that hard. I don't expect that there's gonna be so many folks that you won't be able to pick out our set.
See ya then!

Me and the wifey got back from a movie. Drank up and went out in this garbage.
I bagged two upsets, one "F'ing moron!", and one "you crazy, man!"
See everyone (if you're man enough) tomorrow!

I went out to the packie, down mission hill (slid the whole way), then back up the hill. on the way up the hill this van pulled up next to me. the girl in the front waved, the 4 people in back were clapping for me, it made me feel good. tomorrow is gonna be a blast.
