Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

you have to do three saturday beginner sessions before you're allowed to ride on regular practice days.

Feb 5th and 12th are both Saturdays and I believe the 8:30 beginner sessions are every Saturday too.

I'm down for a Hellyer trip. Fixedpip gives me crap about it every time I see him on the train. I'll probably use their bikes the first time though, just to get the hang of it and see what gearing I need to run. I can drive if some other SF people want to go down there without their bikes. Feb 12th is out for me, but other dates are fine...
