Want to buy a fixie ASAP, need suggestions for my style of riding.

I checked the stickies and it didnt help my case much, so here it goes.

I need a fixed gear bike.

It has to look good. It has to ride good. At least 40mm tire width.

I plan on riding it mainly on grass, gravel, bumpy sidewalks, going up and down curbs....up and down curbs....also up and down curbs.

No brakes.

The only one I've found so far is the BAMF piledriver, but since I don't know anything about the brand and the bike doesn't look particularly good, I'm here to ask the more experienced and knowledgeable people.

My best regards to all of you and I look forward to some fun and thigh gainz!

BAMF Bike Co.

Is it just me or this bike doesn't look that good?

Sorry, bro. I was under the impression you were looking for a bike, not a toy. Maybe you should buy a pogo stick instead.

Yet you expect us to help you. It doesn't work that way.

But you guys did indeed help, you especially by pointing me towards the bike there. I was just not hoping to spend that much money. My 500 dollar TREK for example, is more bike than I'll ever need, I just wanted to play around with a fixed gear in the dirt. I have money, that's why I wanna buy one. Only as a LAST VERY LAST resort, I'd build one from parts, but I don't know to, don't have the space, knowledge or tools.

I don't know brands, so I don't know what's worth the price and what's crap, that's why I need help. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with a toy.

Best regards.

Trust us, we got that. You're lazy and don't care to learn to anything yourself (and seem proud of that...), so what kind of help do you expect? Buy the BAMF. Buy anything. I can't imagine it'll matter in the least, because you'll never be able to tell if what you bought is junk or not.

I dont need to know, I just need it not to break because of not-good-enough-parts.

And to the other guy...Yeah, I've been looking at the BAMF, I just never heard of this brand in particular and since I haven't found any reviews online, I was hoping people more knowledgeable could give an input. I also am not really a fan of the looks of it, the frame and etc.

I guess I'll have to up my budget and look at more expensive ones such as the bike the other dude posted. And yes, I'm lazy and I'm not ashamed of that. There's nothing wrong with it. Some people rather spend money than do it themselves. Either you learn how to fix everything and build everything for the rest of your life or you'll be the same as me. What's better, being lazy or being a hypocrite?

Ok, if BAMF is not such well known brand take a look on the parts and materials. Hi-Ten steel is soft and durable material and frame is made from welded tubes. Same as fork. Weinmann hi-profile rims DP-18 is made for hard fixers-beginers its hard to broke or even bend. Also nothing wrong with those prowheel cranks branded as BAMF. Headset, stem, seatpost, bars all is ok. No need for front disc brake - unscrew bolts and unmount it. This bike provides good margin of safety for offroad usage, but its weight can be more than 10 kilos.

But as you've already said, you don't actually want to spend money either. Now it sounds like you're being lazy, cheap and a hypocrite.

Good to see you're setting the bar high for yourself. Why try to be at all productive or interesting, amirite?

Anyway, your numerous shortcomings aside, I'll retract my original advice - don't get the BAMF. See if you can find a big wheel forum online and see what they recommend. I think the simplicity and ease of maintenance on one of those is much more your speed.

Only reason to even look at these threads is the OPs ******** requirements.

Requirements:
20x15 gear because I read 'spin to win' on the internet and I won't stfu about it.
Bum bars, because I need to train wrist flexibility
Fixed gear that will fit 27.5x2.75 Maxxis Minions, it's a commuter I need the traction
Has to use Paul brakes/crank because I love the 'built by a harbor freight lathe' aesthetic
500$
Also make it too big and it needs to have speakers because I'm 'that guy' on a social ride.
