Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I started using Strava in July so for the full year i'm guessing a little less then 2,000.

From July to now:

For 2013 I wanna try to at least double that.(Around 4,000)

I didn't really start keeping track of my miles until May, but according to strava I did 1,667 miles, 105:18:50 time, elev gain of 39,213ft and 58 rides. This year is going to be different. I want to do several centuries, at least one 400mi week, and try to keep my rides on my days off at 50+mi. gonna be gud.

About 2000 starting in april, around 38k ft elevation (nyc = pancakeland)

i dont have a mileage goal for 2013 but i plan to finally get around to a century ride, and if i dont die doing it id like to do one every week or month (as often as time allows)

strava has me at 2800, I used it sparsly until summer but I would say I am max 3500 for 2k12, not too good. I'd like to do 6000 in 2013 and break 50k elevation at least. My strava has me at 20k elevation but I notice I'm always about half of everyone elses elevation in a ride, so I wonder if my garmin is ****ed up

The dude I ride with uses a garmin, his elevation gain is normally double what my iPhone reads after the exact same ride...

Fixed: 7,081 miles
Free: 10 miles

276 rides; 1 century, 4 metrics
390ish hours
285,000ish feet climbing

2013 Goal? Ride just as much even though now I have a full-time job. Complete with 1.5-2 hour car-commute.

I also need to buy a road bike and a track bike so I can do some actual racing and not just the local alley cat series.

I wouldn't be able to sleep if that was my mileage. Go ride around the block for that last 6.

I'm at 2,784mi, but was off the bike for about a third of the year with that broken foot.

Next year? 7,300 miles, and I want to start racing track/crits.

All fixed.

I didn't start using Strava until April or May, but I didn't start using it a lot until August, so I'm guessing I'm closer to 4,500. 2013 goal: 6000+ and with a double century thrown in.

This year I will be doing a 20-mile round trip commute at least 5 days every week so I guess I'll shoot for 5,200 miles for the year? You 10k+ guys are mad!

I want to train up so I can ride from LA to Seattle and back.

I did 4526 total miles this year, 1990 of them fixed.

In 2013 I'd like to do more long-distance rides fixed, a century for sure, maybe a 200k or 300k.

Smileage goal for 2013 - about the same.

About 2,000 mi, less than in 2011. Goal for 2013: more than in 2011, so somewhere north of 3500 mi.

I've done roughly 2836 miles since I started tracking in February. I would say I did just over 3K miles for the year, I think doing 3.5K-4K would be a fair advance forward. Most of my miles are made up of short commutes but I would like to add some nice longer rides to this years mileage log to meet my this years goal.

Need to get me a 2013 calender so I can start logging.

Realistically, it was probably around 2200 (about 1500 says strava), I did a lot of dinking around town and commuting that I didn't fire up strava for.

Looking to clear 3000 on strava for 2013. Planning on taking each bike in my stable on the century ride around the finger lake here. There are like 20 bikes. Egad.

Goal is to ride more like everyone and ride outside of my commute. I used to ride/race quite a bit, but fell out of the competitive spirit. Hoping my new Kilo TT reinvigorates my spirit!
