Thanks, I bought my bike as something simple to ride and have fun on, but after a few days around here, I've grown quite keen on the track and want to go check one out soon!

Our bikes are going to be very similar...just waiting for all my parts to come in.

I went with 3t components, omniums, and archtypes laced to phill hubs.

I never see you in the streets out here.

I'm envious of your new toy, too. (I so very much want the pink one)

^ DAYYYYYUMMM, I'm reaalllyy liking that one. Those gum walls with all the matte black are sexy.

street_sweeper 02-26-14 11:39 PM

got it off CL for a decent deal, not overly impressed though. Its also too small for me. Parting and flipping it come spring.

I figure I could put together a respectable build for $1500-$1600, I'd just need to get together $1500-$1600 to do it. (and some way to justify it to myself, of course :p )

(I figure the frameset, wheels, and cranks would make most of the cost of the build)

Well done.

I would only ditch the spacers and switch to compacts. Other than that I really like that.

Dixie Gentleman 02-28-14 01:52 AM

the spacers were really bothering me, but i left it like that for now to get a good ride in before cutting it any lower... I like the feel but it looks off to me.. I have Zip compact drops and mash bullhorns.. I like track drops for some reason.

My SS commuter next to my friend's carbon Scott after a Sunday ride around Koko Head. Nothing fancy, just a cheapie Cali made frame with some modifications. Let's say that'll be the first and last time I ever dare go that fast downhill.
