I am still riding the same old beaters... should have the 1975 Bridgestone Kabuki ready to show off in the late spring.
For those who are just tuning in... http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikep...11ccmpath1.JPG 1951 CCM - conversion from coaster equipped model. http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikepics/2012reg1.JPG 1955 Raleigh Lenton Reg Harris, original fixed gear model. |
Goddamn the reach on those Raleigh bars is long.

Won't be long until I'm posting something different.

I had my Brooks tilted way back compared to this. I kept sliding forward.
I took this picture right after I had installed a different saddle (Ideale) and blasted off to an event... it got adjusted right after I took this picture. YOu can see the saddle on my Lenton which is level where it needs to be, which is across the back. |

First post - I must be living dangerously starting with photos. I've been lurking, reading and learning here for a month as I worked on my first fixed gear bike. I just finished converting my favorite, old road racing frame to fixed gear. The frame will be 24 years old in April and the current re-paint looks great considering it is 22 years old. Tubeset is a mix of True Temper RC and RCX with Columbus dropouts and Henry James lugs. I'm planning on lacing up some new wheels so I temporarily went with a VeloMine special in the rear and my original Campagnolo Strada Hardox rims laced to old Record hub in the front (perfectly true, laced it up in '90!).
