    The Raleigh came out great, I wouldn't mind seeing a more racy saddle though like a Flight or something.

    Thanks! I'll post more pics and full specs on PedalRoom soon.

    Brooks Team Pro is period-correct for 1975 and happens to be one of my favorite saddles. For reference:

    I hate Flite saddles with a passion.

    Yeah, I'm 100% in agreement on the Brooks. The only thing I would have done differently is to go with silver polished rims like Fiamme or Nisi, instead of the grey anodized Mavics. Otherwise, I think it looks sensational.

    Do the small holes in the dropouts serve any purpose other than weight savings? Beautiful bike.

    I'm a roadie at heart and always lusted after a TI Raleigh Team so with all the hubbub that Scrodzilla's beautiful Pro Track build has engendered, out of curiosity I thought I should try to learn a bit more about those. Ran across this '73 and was tempted to post it in the pr0n thread. The builder agrees with Scrodzilla's saddle choice & TejanoTrackie's Nisi Rims suggestion:

    @Scrodzilla...can't tell from your pic - what seatpost & tires on yours?

    PS...apparently our butts are different - 1990 Flite is my saddle of choice

    This is my cheapie (bikedirect) single speed bicycle. I"ve added vintage handlebar, stem and front rack along with a lovely chainguard from Velo-Orange as well as new 50mm wide cream tires. Brooks saddle too.

    Love the gumwalls with the yellow on the bike, looks fantastic and classy.

    Now I am going to ruin everyones bike bone-r (really... can't write that word?) with my bike. I bought an aerospoke for $200 so I figured I would see what the fuss is about. Its nice and smooth but is heavy compared to my Wabi's but it looks cool I guess.

    I've since put clipless pedals on as I hated those straps. sorry my lights are on, I had just put them on and was goofing around. This is my effort at a ss/fg runaround.

    In anticipation of the arrival of my new Chrome Soma Rush frameset, I removed the Brooks Pro honey saddle and VO Grand Cru seatpost from my Kilo WT, and replaced them with a lowly Charge Spoon saddle and Kalloy UNO seatpost. The saddle was a new spare I had in stock and the seatpost was a takeoff from my Wabi Lightning. Although nowhere near as classy as the original setup, I think the new downgraded setup looks pretty decent.

    OLD ---> IMGP1571.jpg NEW--->IMGP1856.jpg

    On the positive side, the new setup knocked nearly a pound off the weight of the Kilo WT, mostly due to the massive weight of the Brooks Pro saddle.

    I was going to wait to post pictures of my bike in this thread until I had gotten a silver stem and silver cranks, but whatever. It is perhaps the dorkiest bike in the city of Denver, kickstand and all, and the paint has some damage after heavy use the past year, but I actually do love the thing. Put some decent parts on it that I can move to another frame one day. MKS Urban Platform pedals, MKS clips, my trusty Swift, Nitto Noodles, and the rack (which I am fond of.) The current "all day, every day" configuration of my steed:

    Cut that steer tube. And what's up with the bar tape? it looks like you wrapped it 3-4 times. is that comfortable?

    Was thinking about if I were to build a very light fixed gear I would use a cinelli frame with mavic ellipse wheelset? Curious to know how much you put in and the weight of this bike?
