Interested in how you modded the levers to remove the shifters. I've got some odd dead brifters that I would happily use as just levers. Love the feel of the hoods over straight brake levers.

The wheels are used Mavic Ksyriums from circa 2009 or so? The hubs are thus some type of Mavic design. Since Mavic wheels are designed as a system I doubt those particular hubs would be sold separately. As an engineer I love the Mavic wheels because of their unique very dedicated approach. Though I agree with many others that it's a pain to work on them due to difficulty in obtaining parts.

Well these Dura-Ace levers are built with Di2 electric shifting. It was pretty simple to remove the micro switches and the wiring. Then I just staked the shift mechanism in place with 3M 2-part epoxy and voila - brake levers only. The shape of the hoods is very comfortable. I started out with Cane Creek levers, which are more retro looking, but they are just not as ergonomic as the Dura-Ace units.

My newest complete build and first in about 2-1/2 years, which curiously was also a Soma Rush. This one is meant to be retro casual urban. I very pleased with how it turned out. More info in the Soma and Pake Lounge thread ---> http://www.bikeforums.net/singlespee...lounge-18.html

Cut that steer tube. And what's up with the bar tape? it looks like you wrapped it 3-4 times. is that comfortable?

Im waiting to install my carbon fork so I'm not cutting it. I double wrapped the bar tape, its more comfortable. I have large hands and when the bar is too thin it is tough to grip.

I found Jen Green's website at Custom Head badge Portfolio

She was great to work with and although it would have been too much to do the filigree along the shield she did do the helmet and it did turn out great. Thanks.

Prices aren't too bad considering you're getting a one of a kind piece of art for your bike.

Nothing original, just a stock Wabi Classic. I still have to install my honey brown Fizik tape, and that will probably be it until stuff wears out, except for different tires maybe.

Why a Blackspire chain ring? I ended up getting one to replace my worn Miche Advanced chainring and found the blackspire to be twice the weight.

because some people dgaf about weight. Also why is there a kangaroo on a Canadian made product? Shouldn't it be a moose, or a maple leaf, or perhaps a hockey stick?

You must have gotten a steel chainring. All aluminum weighs the same, so if the chainrings are the same size and shape, they will weigh the same. Both the Miche and Blackspire chainrings are solid shapes w/o cutouts, so they should weigh about the same. The reason I chose the Blackspire is that it's one of the few 144 bcd chainrings available with 3/32" teeth.

Thanks ! I've rotated the bars forward a bit and cut down the brake housing so it no longer rubs on the front of the stem and allows a clear view of the Soma headbadge when viewed from the front. It also makes the brake cable operation smoother.

Wow, you've gotta be the only guy biking there, that place is pretty industrial. Nice bike BTW, if I ever see you around I'll say hi.

On this particular ride, yes. It felt like a ghost town, there were quite a few cars, but no personnel. creepy haha. and thank you!
btw, I noticed that you have a 2012 Switch. Is that the one that was on craigslist for a good deal?

Yeah, an impulse buy around Thanksgiving, but I'm glad I got it considering it's rarity. All I need is wheels and a stem and I'll post it here when it starts to actually look like a bike.
