Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Been away for a while due to work and home repairs. Got a new roller mule rolling today that has me all excited. Frameset built in 1988 by Rob Stowe, Rochester New York. Most of the parts came from my Schwinn Letour conversion, and it fits me better than the Schwinn did. It needs a nicer headset and different handlebars .

And someone had asked about another project that I have been dragging my feet on. It is mostly assembled, but I am still looking for some "proper" cog, chain, and toe straps to finish it off. It will get finished eventually .

First fixed gear bike, totally stock except from the handlebar (didn't like the Surly Open Bar). Assembled it myself over the weekend, so here's hoping I won't kill myself on this thing.
Guess you might comment on saddle/bar drop/height, but I like the way it feels so far. I realize that the brake line is a bit long, but didn't wanna **** something up last night.

(Sorry for the ****ty iPhone picture.)

I posted my bike once before, but have to show it again now that it's finished. No more upgrades.

+1 for big frames. 6'5" here, typically riding 62-63cm. I hate that modern road geometries go to "XL" which is more like 58-60cm. bleh.

Put about 40 miles on it so far, haven't had a chance for a good ride. Everything is looking good, just need to finalize my stem placement and cut the steer tube a bit more, don't want to be hasty though.

2013 BMC Impec frame, fork, seatpost, headset
Chainbros cobalt 2 stem to On-One Midge bars
ISM Adamo Peloton saddle
SL-K carbon cranks, Stronglight Zicral 50t chainring, cheap "The Original" 46t chainring, Dura Ace pedals, Beer components bb30 Eccentric bb
Kinlin xm250, pillar bladed spokes, bike hub store 20h hub for a front. Kinlin xd280, dt swiss spokes, novatech 28h hub, surly 17/21 cog on the rear

No clue, have you put your finger on it yet? It's my new daily commuter bike. Custom build by Antonio Taverna of Cicli Vetta from Padova. I used the specs of my 1993 Merlin Extralight as it fits me like a glove...
