Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Yep, that's RB-002.

Actually I'm not into that kind of bar angle, but now I'm still looking for my Nitto Dynamic8 (if there's anyone remember, I've used the stem back then on my Bridgestone Anchor). The stem just dissapear and lost in my room, I think it's slipped somewhere around xD and the only available stem I got is this 2A with 26.4 clamp (while my RB's and Dynamic's are 26.0) xD

I buy a bike every winter as a project and add it to the collection, so here is this winter's project. Frame will be blasted and coated, and new decals made from a local vinyl shop. Those horrible flipped drops and crappy saddle are gone already. The rev-x's will most likely go as well but probably hang around in my wheel collection just because.

Trek 610

Here's my baby, a 25 1/2" 1984 Trek 610 with Reynolds 531cs tubing. with original stronglight 9 headset

I scored a SRAM RED crankset (52T) and GXP BB cheaply and paired it with: MKS pedals, Shimano 18T freewheel cog, dimension adjustable stem, random hipter cut drop bars, no-name seatpost + ****ty scwhinn seat I intend to replace with a brooks professional saddle I am restoring and finally 2 ALEX rims

a 700cx23 rim in back with a 700cx25 in front both with identical continental (x25 size) commuters. I honestly feel like this setup is way more stable and nimble in handling with the larger rim up front. I didn't purchase the rims with this in mind but rather got a good deal on them and was stuck using them.

Here's the saddle, purchased for $15 shipped it has a slight tear. I plan to experiment and with the help of a leather shop a friend owns put a piece of reinforcing leather stretched unerneath and minimally sewed upwards. If it doesnt work, no loss. Just trying to resurrect this vintage piece of bicycling.

Been thinking about it just for fire roads. I don't need a rear brake for those. PM me if you want to send it my way.

Here is my first attempt at a single speed. I wasn't sure how I would like riding a single speed, but it is my first choice when I head out. Sorry for the fuzzy phone picture.

Please forgive my 55-year-old man, he's the one who insist installed that right there. All he wanted was helping his boy keeping the treasure that the boy already cared on, the treasure that are built by his boy's salary

That Vigorelli has started to grow on me, maybe more so than the old blue and white version.
