Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I took off the Wald basket cause it won't see much use until spring/summertime. Full commuter mode now, wish I had a second pair of 31.8 drops because I can't stand risers.

Is that really a downward sloping top tube, or just some optical illusion?

Angle of the picture. The front wheel also looks smaller than the rear.

I think for the most part, it is an optical illusion. The patio slopes down toward the front wheel while the brick wall in the background is level. I also took the shot from a more "rearward" angle so my shadow wouldn't show in the pic.

I will have to measure the top tube to floor because looking at it right now on level ground, it does indeed appear to have some downward sloping of the top tube (just not as drastic as it looks in the picture)

This was the beer of choice when I was in college a few years ago. Smooth. Like water.
