Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Those high end Araya hoops don't get enough love... I have some semi aero Araya 1W hoops (630) laced to custom made Arvon hubs and this is a beautiful, albeit geared wheelset.

I had the same rims on my first racing bike, albeit in 700c... they were bulletproof.

Schwinn Peloton finally on the workbench, will get FSA carbon crankset and light wheelset.

I need a wheelset and have been holding out for WABI's latest but the new set with bolts does not accommodate spacing out to 126mm!
I prefer not to clamp it down to 120.
I'm trying to get a light rear for a good price.

I'm training now for a fixed assault on Big Bear, CA and this should do nicely.

cool Bike siclista, you only have to cut down the head tube and buy a aero seat post to make it perfect.

After nearly a half year of reading in this forum I finally can present my Track, Tour and Town Fixie
Here's mine:

One of these days I'm gonna find another 60cm frame and all will be right with the world.

A lot of nice looking bikes on the thread! Looks like most are fixed or freewheel singlespeed, but I just got a new Fairdale Coaster today so here's a few photos. I hope it's not too out of place!

Always in love with 17 degree stem + compact dropbars. Probably you wanna cover those front brakeline with electrical tape, so you'll have a full black wheels

This is clean & simple. Although I'd prefer risebar to those moustache bar...

Looking very similar to mine, but it's a "custom modified" Colossi Low Pro, made for my local bike shop. If you could see it on the photo, you'd see the shop name decal on the down tube (SM-Parts) that was (with intent) overpainted to make it less eye-catching.

I think it's a 60mm or max 70mm stem and the drops are about 50mm long.
I'd get a professional bike fitting session. There are so many things that lead to shoulder or back pain and in the end, the whole package has to fit to your body..

Thanks. I've looked at them for a while, and couldn't resist it any more.

I'm not sure about those bars either, but haven't ridden enough to decide to change them yet.

Here's my town fixie, a pure user to get me from A to B and don't have to be worried about thiefs when it is left alone for a while.
