Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

725 mid ltd vs unknown ps1 pursuit frame

Hey guys I am seeling my old fixed gear that was a conversion and I am looking to build a new bike with an actual track frame
These two frame are the one that I think answer to what I am looking for price and alumunimum.

Wich one would be the best, is the leader more solid or the ps1 is as equal to the leader?

I seen one of those unknowns at the track. The thing was a boat anchor, but that's not to say the leader would be light.

If I were to get either, it would be the leader. Plated dropouts, and integrated seat clamp is pretty cool.

You could even say the Unknown is a bit "unknown"...

just based on the pics, i'd go 725. dropouts/welds/seatcollar....better.

now the bias: i had a 725. i'd still have it if it didn't end up being too small.

I'd go with the leader simply due to the fact that their customer service is top-notch.

Or, pick whatever's lighter.

So - go with the 725.

Leader is probably more bang for your buck... can kind of tell from the pricing that Unknown frames are... well... not so much.

Hmm I believe unknown and leader both source their frames from PCO.

My friend just got the 725 frame and he's in love. Granted, it was an upgrade from the Walmart fixie, so ...

If these are the two choices I'd go with 725 all the way.

Because I've seen enough of them with misaligned and/or incorrectly spaced dropouts, crooked rear triangles, etc to make that call. I recently saw one with a crooked head tube. They are junk.

Leader is doing a Frameset black Friday deal. I just picked up a 735 with bars, crank, headset, post, saddle and carbon fork for 479. The 725 is 399.
