Parts indecision
Alright fellas, laying out my to do list for a new build, as follows:
Frame:58cm Leader 725
Fork: Nashbar full carbon
Wheels: ?
Post: Leader SPCA 1
Saddle: Brooks Classic
Cranks: Paul Royal Flush/Sugino Messenger
Stem: Thomson X2
Bars: EighthInch tack drop
Brake: Dia-Compe Gran Compe
Pedals: Crank Bros Eggbeater
I know I am missing parts, my biggest block is the wheels and crank. I know there is much hatred for the Pauls, I'm looking for a more modern feeling for the bike. And the wheels, hell if I know, looking at H+Son with machined lip...who knows.
What are your guys' view on some decent wheels and cranks? I'm stuck, plus knowing before I buy would be best.

Is this for track use only or what?
Track drops make sense if you're racing, not for anything else. You're getting a brake, so I'd get some compact road drops.
That post with that saddle doesn't make sense either.
H+son sounds good to me, Scrod just dropped a nice set on his store website.

Wabi wheels are really well priced, and are worth a bunch more. They're a semi-aero profile though, so if you're looking for something deep then these aren't it.

Brooks + aero post + aero frame + track drops = I dunno what you're trying to do here.
Paul cranks + X = Ugly (where X is equal to any bicycle)

I don't race bikes, I just ride them for funsies and the experiences. I was looking at the Fyxation saddles. I really like the Paul crank, but the Sugino messenger crank I enjoy also. H+Son SL42 I think are the business, and for the bars I'm guessing bullhorns? Which is fine with me because I'm a rather tall fellow and I like to be stretched out on the bike.

Just have a purpose for the components. If you want a Brooks saddle, go for it, but get a setback seat post.
You want that aero seat post then get a racing type saddle.
Don't get track drops if you're riding it on the street.

Bullhorns are nice, I just put the Fyxation Rodeo Pursuits on my bike, they are only $25 I think, light, and I love mine so far.
