Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Thanks! It's a modded 1978 Puch Magnum. 50cc with a 72cc kit and a bunch of other bull**** (I could list all the parts that went into it but nobody here would know what it means or care). I'm still dialing in the carb and whatnot but it will hit 60 if I really push it.

A friend of mine from Providence makes custom motorcycle seats and has one in the works for me so the skate deck is just temporary.

But anyway, this is a forum about bicycles so...

This horror is on Craigslist here and after listing all the ridiculous parts that comprise it, including "a real track chain", he's happy to trade it for ... the naughty word filter won't let me tell you what he'll trade it for, you'll have to read the ad.

You think he'd trade chiropractor services for the bike?

Is that thing even ridable? Seems to me your neck would be so cricked trying to see the road that you'd be staring at the sky for a week...

There's one of these here in Davis at the US Bicycling Hall of Fame. It's early 20th century, if I remember correctly.

Yet another from a prolific flipper in my area (someone else has posted his work before). I'm tempted to throw him an offer on just the frame, but that drive side chainstay looks a little sketchy.
