I just showed that to my son who commented that he's seen some at Uni with cheap chain locks just looped around the seat post (not through the frame) and the bike stand.

It's so jackass it's awesome. But really though that's so neat to get a kid started like that. Training wheels and drops, love it.

I've also seen plenty with the lock around just the fork and the rack . . . with QR wheels.
(This is a university campus, incidentally.)

If this is against the JA forum rules, I apologize up front, but this dudes gearing ratio is total JA. 56/13 for a "messenger" in SF. and he wants to go to 61t front ring!?!?!?! 113 gear inches!!!! If anything is JA, it's this dood.

Pursuit frame with tri base bar and spoke cards? Gear ratio aside his bike is a little confused. It's not the worse thing in the world, interesting to say the least.

I'm a little nervous about my first Jackass post, but after reading part of the description of this bike, I had to.

Kick *** fixie track bike, high end components with the most amazing steel tubing and raw finish you will see this side of the Mississippi. If you want a uber-efficient velodrome racing machine this is the bike for you. as for all you hipster flat land fixe bmx riders, I'm confused about what you do and how you do but I still respect you. Why ride a flexy *** fixe when you could be the proud owner of the stiffest track bike every created. Hand built in Brooklyn! Raw steel welds. Burly wheels, a fricken drum brake, I don't want to call it a frankenstein bike, but thats what it is.

Oh dear. I'm quite sure we have gentle-twits like this git in Australia. I just hope I only meet them over the internet ... and then with a couple of forums in the way (sort of like that protection your army sergeant was always telling you about before going on leave).

The bike wouldn't be bad if he had just said "I just built this for whip skidding down hills 'cause its fun and have a much more practical bike for transportation." The dude is posing so hard it makes me wonder if he isn't just trolling. I love the fact that as soon as someone invites him to ride he's suddenly in New York. Any of the New Yorkers want to give him a similar invite?
