Then it'll be solidly jackass when he raises the price when it doesn't sell. I kid you not, that seems to happen quite a bit on cl here.

And i kid you not, it actually works. Ive tried to unload things at great prices because i needed quick money. After having it sit for weeks, i raise the price 20% and i make a deal within 12 hours. Its happened to me twice.

Ive seen people do this on ebay too and it works.

Yep, people get suspicious if the price isn't somewhere in the ballpark of what they expect it should cost.

They are Mormons! I see those guys in my neighborhood all the time and always knew they were in some kind of cult.

Only see them on cheap mtbs around here. I'd prefer the fixies though, something else to laugh at.

and before you accuse me of picking on the religion, I've known and enjoyed the company of Mormons over the years - young kids out here as 'missionaries' have been universally embarressing

I fail to see how a zip tie is considered "pimping your bike" lol. What is the point? Other than the obvious of making us all laugh

i mean its pretty obvious that adds traction in the snow, see how the knobs are so much higher than the ziptie on the casing? science.

You better hope George Bush and Toby Keith don't hear you "making fun" of Christians, no matter what flavor.

Possibly the tube was underinflated (or flat from a popped tube) causing the the tire bead to roll off the rim during a turn. If the tube fell out it would get wrapped around the axle and brakes while rolling. I think.

I've seen a few bikes like that come into the shop after they've been walked from wherever the flat happened

I chalk it up to general idiocy and not being able to walk in straight line with a bike

honestly if you cant change or patch a tube, and youre over the age of 8, you need to reevaluate your life.

i just dont get the people that bring their bikes into a shop to change a flat

Assuming it's meant to create extra traction in the snow (which it won't), he's probably not going to use his front brake in the snow (also assuming he hasn't put the on the rear wheel as well...)

Blimey, he's even taken the trouble to lock it. Surely he doesn't want it to be there when he gets back.
