Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

He's the definition of your average softride rider.

DID YOU KNOW?
The company Allsop, that used to make these frames now make mediocre computer peripherals? A fitting punishment.

it's a radially spoked rear wheel with a fixed hub. I don't think that's going to work for a long time

That's from NAHMBS right? Those are made just so they can show off. Like custom show choppers and the suicide clutch.

difference is a bunch of dudes ride bikes with suicide shifters, im willing to bet 0% of the bike population has a disc brake on their fixed gear crank

but i get what youre saying. a lot of show bikes (namely every single OCC bike ever made) are ugly and make no sense and will never be ridden

People really rode those. My former brother in law rode a chopper with a suicide clutch (foot clutch + left HAND shifter coming right out of the gearbox) and NO front brake. That thing required flawless planning, timing, and coordination to take off from a stop on an up hill. No such thing a neutral at a red light....not enough feet. PITA even for the very skilled. Crazy crap that some people will put up with for "Style".
