Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? That description reminds me of the Maddox rant on "extreme sports" from around 15 years ago.
Take your X-TREME marketing and shove it.

Totally forgot about this website.

Riding one around city traffic would be JA.

Would love to give it a go at Charlotte Motor Speedway for a TT.

Nice score!

Apparently this is the thing to do in the helmet industry as everybody is rolling out the new MIPS equipped models with better noggin protection for more violent impacts... there's some killer deals out there for giro helmets as well.

Non-MIPS is plenty good anyhow.

^ would ride just because. I would imagine that if it was fixed, and it looks like it is, don't see a coaster brake, that would be kind of hard, and kind of fun.

If you look closely in some of the other pics you can see the coaster brake arm. I don't think it could be ridden fixed because the pedal/ground clearance is about one inch. One of the pics shows them using the down pedal as a kickstand.

I don't get lowrider bicycles.

There's a group in Phoenix that does group rides on occasion, and it's funny to watch them, especially when they all try to start up from a stop...it's like none of them can push the gearing to get the pedals to move.
