my love for pantera is based entirely on darrel and his superpowers. i think his brother and his stupid ass beard cut is one of the dumbest things on earth.

Awesome, I am glad. I first found out about him on an album from Alan Lomax called "World Library of Folk and Primitive Music, Vol.2, Ireland" then I checked his stuff out elsewhere and fell in love.
Alan Lomax is another bad-ass, along with his father John. They exposed the world to a lot of music that probably many outside of those small areas might never hear and recorded people before they got famous. They did field recordings all over the globe and you can hear a good deal of them if not all of it here:

The digital age is pretty awesome in some regards because anyone can put up music they have made and share it with the world and anyone can hear just about anything.

We're going to see Tame Impala again! Have you seen them yet? They put on a great performance. I felt like I was in another world the last time we saw them, at some old theater in LA. This time the venue is even smaller, and it's in SD!
OK, I'm headed back out on the bike now.

Nice. One of my best buds (ex coworker) lives in Leucadia right on Vulcan. We freqeunt Regal Seagull, O'Hurley's and Bar Leucadian. I prefer the latter as I always want to shoot pool. Fav beach spot is Beacons, although I don't surf, just body surf.

Dude Beacon's is my home spot! If the surf is good I get a session in after yoga, then a burrito at Mozy's or tacos at Juanita's. Later maybe beers at Cap'n Keno's especially if it's steak night. A good day in Leucadia is as good as it gets
