Looking for a Carbon Fork for My Leader 735
I just got the new 2013 Leader 735 in white and I'm looking for a good carbon fork that would look nice with it. So far I have just been searching ebay since you can usually find a carbon fork for about $100 which is much cheaper than the forks leader offer and I've heard people complain about their forks already. If you have any experience or can suggest me a good one that would look nice with my frame I would appreciate it.

Does a 735 use a tapered fork? Pretty sure it doesn't.
Just get a leader fork.

I haven't searched for Leader forks but all of the ones on Scrod's site look to be straight leg. I don't like looks of a straight leg fork. I like the Excel fork. Nags......the one on your TT looks super.

Leader's carbon forks (especially the full carbon I806TR) are top notch.
If you were losing sleep over what people on the internet say about Leader, you wouldn't have bought one of their frames to begin with.

The big thing to watch out for, as pointed out above, is the rake. Leader frames are designed around forks with very little rake (often around 30mm). It is very difficult to find forks with that rake anywhere, and too much rake will negatively affect the handling of the bike.

Nagrom doesn't have an Excel fork on his Kilo TT. At any rate, it's not compatible with Leader's aluminum frames.

But for the money is there anything better out there for around $200?

If you have money like you say you do, buy a full carbon I806TR and do it right.

Yeah I have been thinking about it, but it is pricey. I also just checked out your pedalroom and it looks like you had a 725 with it, why did you sell it?

I sold it because I got a Kagero and having two aluminum track bikes set up almost exactly the same way was a little silly. I regretted it soon thereafter because I liked my 725 much better.

alright well Leader looks like my best option but I'm also interested in this https://donsbikeshop.com/product/3t-f...0c-73067-1.htm
accept it only comes in a 43 or 49 rake. And according to a few post above I think it has too much rake. Should I be looking for forks that have a 30 rake for my Leader 735

All I meant was I like the fork on Nags TT. I didn't mean to imply it was any one brand. The thread strayed a bit to why someone would not want a Leader fork.......I took the chance that it was not because of the cost, they are priced in line with other quality forks, it's because all of the ones I've seen are straight. I don't like straight forks. I like the one on Nags TT and others like it, whoever made it.

I have the Leader I806TR V2 fork in matte on my 725 and I really like it. I weighed before cutting the steerer tube, and it was 370g. Totally worth it.
