$50 lugged Bianchi MTB SS worthy?

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? $50 lugged Bianchi MTB SS worthy?

any one ride a SS MTB? I know the Bianchi Nyala was 2 from the bottom of the line of the 90's Bianchi MTB models, but it is Tange Cro-mo..
I have been looking for a tall Bianchi frame to covert to SS for a while now. Should I forget about this one?

Do it up. I"m working on a Nishiki Cascade MTB SS conversion, probably about the same vintage.

Convince a few other people to ride singletrack rigid/SS with you and you'll probably spend the entire time laughing. Seriously, it's fun stuff. $50 for a Bianchi is pretty hard to pass up.

I ride a converted Giant ATX 760 from the early '90s, nice frame if quite heavy.

unless there is something wrong with the drivetrain why not just ride it geared?

bikes with gears can be fun and to me there is no point in ripping a completely good geared drivetrain off a bike. ride that ***** till it breaks THEN singlespeed it.
