Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Grabbed some water bottle mounts and a front bag for the Kilo since I'm gonna bike out to the Gorge tomorrow(around 75miles) and probably going to need a good amount of water, should be fun though.

Nice!

Mine has been crap. Littered with injuries.

I did get my f200 down to 12.8 despite that though so I guess that's ok. What cat are you GMJ?

In my defense, I got all of that for like $350. Wheelbags, 2 sets of track wheels, 14,15,16 dura ace cogs w/ 3 dura ace lock rings, Rapha Classic jersey w/arm warmers brand new.. brakes, hoods, pedals+cages+straps, bar tape, and a random WTB seat. All for $350? Caaaaame up.

got up at 5:30 to creep around the city on the Rum Runner before church at 8:00.

the only other cyclists i see that time of day are two semi-homeless (shelter crashers) guys, one on a vintage pink cargo/grocery tricycle and the other on a beat up Walmart full suspension mtb. the latter wears one of those rainbow folding umbrella hats at all times. both guys are super cool and i make a point to carry chain lube so i can take care of their chronically squeaky dry drivetrains.

Got super rained out today on my planned ride, don't have booties yet for my SPD shoes and didn't feel like doing 70 miles in wet socks. Next weekend, it's happening regardless.

All the whiskey talk in the drinking thread has made me curious to try some stuff out but all the bar tenders I find act like snobs when I don't know what I want. I shoulda used the search function

Cat4. I know I would get approved for an upgrade but I didn't see a point this late in the season for the "benefits", and then I would have had to have raced open. That's a pretty sick 200 time. I've gotten mine to the low 13's, but to my defense, we have a really bumpy and slow track.

Oh, and today I took second in the points race and third in the 3k pursuit/TT. I won gold in the omnium.

Maker's Mark is my go-to whiskey.

Today I did yoga, worked, and watched Spirited Away. Didn't think I would like any anime but it was pretty good. Oh, and I too rode without my styrofoam hat. Even on the in-town mtb trails, ooohhh...

Makers is a good easy whiskey, super sweet.

I ended up doing a smaller 25miler to.the river when it cleared up with a friend. We both rode our leaders and bro'd out pretty hard.
