Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Today I got home after completing my first Century and Metric Century. Amsterdam to Antwerp with an average speed of about 23km/hr. Slept there for the night and came back this morning on the train. Whoo!

HAs their quality improved? I was thinking of just building a nashbar SS frame. Then again, a cheap windsor would cost less than building a nashbar frame, since I don't have a spare set of cranks. Ohhh decisions.

Oh yeah, also finally upgraded to cat 4.. lol

Get a SSCX. Way more versatile and you can race it.

Just got a packet at work with a workout plan in preparation for a utility pole climbing camp next month. Some weird-ass stretches in there...

I really need to take the front tire off and give it a good scrub. It hardly looks like a gumwall right now.

today ****ing sucked.

second day of classes so 15000 students are at the dumb school, the children of our future are completely ********. god help us all.

rained all day, aparently my vans have holes in them so my feet were soaked all day long

on my way home i had a car full of 3 little ****teens threw a bag of mcdonalds trash at me from a moving car. caught up to them at the light and we yelled profanities at each other and i took their plate and description down.

proceeded on my way and about 6 miles later had some woman try to stop me at a light to lecture me on why i shouldnt be riding a bike IN A BIKE LANE ON THE ROAD.

got home and tried to go through the proper channels by calling the precinct and not 911 (since its obviously not an emergency and that is precisely what they tell you when you dial 911) to report those little ****s and the guy is like, "we cant take reports over the phone, if he just threw trash at you and noone was injured theres nothing we can really do, you have to call 911 and have them come to you to file a report"

i have a description of all 3 of them, the make and model of their car, their license plate, time and location of the incident, and noone wants to be bothered. if that trash got caught in my wheel and i was roadkilled by the car behind me im sure they wouldve been on scene in 3 minutes.

no wonder people get away with everything, noone gives a **** unless youre dying or on fire.

Today brought 3 more weeks until I can ride the dmr.... The cruiser is getting rather boring.

Threw lock on grips on it.
I like my cruiser, but day after day of riding in a non attack position gets old after 5 days.

Today I did sprint training and hit bigger numbers than I was previously hitting.

It was a good morning.
