Today I watched Big Trouble in Little China for the first time. I enjoyed it very much.

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
Box section rims and conventional spokes all the way on this machine... have the original catalogue pictures and want it to be looking as close to original as possible and still be bomb proof.
It seems to have been built for 630 rims (70's Japanese set up for lots of bikes) and the Ukai rims are just that... checked the clearance with a 700:23 and there is still a huge gap between the wheel and seat tube with the axle at the halfway point, the 630's should close that up nicely.
I have some really nice 27 by 1 inch Panaracer racing tyres (NOS) here so won't be at a loss for good quality rubber for a very long time.
Went with the Dura Ace pedals... they are so insanely slick.

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
It is pretty banged up and rates a re-spray although it is arrow straight... is a retiree from our local velodrome.
Was considering using a Biopace chain ring here as well since I have a bunch and use them on other bikes and have also used them for ss/fg set ups in the past... they work really well.

Still kicking.
Today I had a good street ride, same for tomorrow.
Roasting right now as the AC unit is dead.

Today on my way in to work I was thinking I could raise my saddle a couple more cm's.
Tonight on my way home, a guy slowed down and shouted out his car window, "your seat's too low."
Not sure what happened, perhaps my legs grew or I lost some weight in my bum.

I live on a bike path... more often than not the riders that pass all have their saddles too low.

it varies from tight to track slack almost, its decent and it works. its the fact that since my conversion ive been lax with checking tension and ive i guess had some chain stretch and during the cranks revolution to the slacker section i dropped a chain, i was coming up to an intersection and thinking do i drop it towards the side walk and thought im not going that fast and slammed my foot on the ground and skidded to a stop lol. Then looked and threw my bike.... idiot move

so today me and i guess you could call her my squirrel, we were running errands for our cliff diving adventure tomorrow "booze, snacks and more booze" and hit a thrift store, i bought a personal rocks glass and two more laser discs to add to my collection.
I now own tron, 2001: a space odyssey, jurassic park and american ninja 2 LOL. One day i will purchase a laser disc player, i still remember them from when i was a kid.

I've never had a pro fit or anything, but I thought I had it fairly dialed in. Then this morning I was in the drops and was hammering a segment (missed the KOM by 3 seconds) and noticed the same thing the guy did. Will see how things work out on tomorrow's commute with it raised.

Look at professional riders and you might think that many have their saddles too low...

I raised it about 2cm. I actually noticed the bolt was quite loose, it's possible it could have gotten bumped down from my fat butt sitting on it going over bumps.

I am always worried this will happen (knees hurt if my seat is too low), so with a new bike or a new seatpost, I always make a mark on the seat post so I can tell at a glance if it has slipped. A small dab of paint or nail polish works and won't come off until I want it to.

My seatpost is white and scratched, so it was pretty easy to notice it had slid down. Marking it probably wouldn't be a bad idea though - make it easier to notice just by glancing at the bike.
Needless to say, the ride in was much more pleasurable this morning and faster too!

today i left my ipod at home, so i've had to listen to the radio all day.
i'm sick of people yelling at me to buy a new car every 4 songs and not being able to hear the first and last of songs.
i now remember why i haven't listened to a radio station in 9 years.

Yeah I hate that, like they don't already have enough commercials, they also have to talk during the song.

It's been a weird day. Accidentally covered my last roll of to in some pretty caustic cleaning stuff. Earlier I hit myself in the chin with a pedal while working on a tune-up, hulked out and smashed my stool out of anger at that noob move. Derp.
