today i was given an Ideale 39 saddle, with some amateur pinstriping, that a friend found at a yard sale for $5.

needs a little TLC, but i think i'll swap the Regal off the Nature Boy and give it a try.

They're easy enough to sand and refinish if you're feeling froggy.

this thing is ridiculous....reluctant to say it...but i don't think i could ever go back to cable pull shifters on a road bike. di2 is the ish!
seems faster and smoother than my s-works tarmac.

Dura Ace 11-speed or Ultegra 10-speed ?

Today I built up a new gaming desktop for my father in law. Easiest build to date with no troubleshooting whatsoever. It just worked.
I can't believe this old man now has 4th gen haswell and gtx titans in SLI.

I have to agree. Being welcomed by a warm and user-friendly UEFI bios as compared to the cold and desolate ami/award bios made me almost feel out of place.
And bonus points to no longer having to use/ the motherboard driver disk no longer being essential FTW.

Almost every disk minus the wireless card disc is useless, though I guess you are on a gaming desktop and probably on a cable. You install the disc of anything else and then you need to update it, may as well just install off the website.

It used to be primarily for the NIC drivers but seemingly M$ created and put a series of universal drivers on the win8 install disc this time around.

Today my roommate fixed the wireless router, I finished a seven day work week, I found out that Red Baron has frozen pizza and boneless wings in the same box, and I get a three day weekend. *swish* Also I have a new roommate moving in and she's Chaka Khan's manager.

Now they just press the "turbo" button. Nothing like tinkering with voltage, multiplier, and front side bus for a couple hours to get the highest frequency

Ice it with a High Life. Any chance of getting the driver to pay for new stuff (assuming he or she even stopped)?

i do. thanks.
you do know that dura ace is available in mechanical 11 speed right? as far as mechanical shifting goes, it's the smoothest shifting groupset to date, imo.
personally....i'd take ultegra 6770 over dura ace 9070...and i did.
i'm not on the 11sp bandwagon just yet....

Oh, I'm totally onboard with you on using mature technology. I just bought a Salsa Colossal Ti road bike that's rocking 105 and Ultegra mechanical. It shifts better than my first generation Dura Ace on my 9 y/o road bike, and costs a lot less. When I first got my old road bike, Dura Ace had just come out with 10-speed, and Ultegra was still 9-speed, so I had to buy the very expensive DA cassettes with Ti cogs. I waited until Ultegra cassettes were available at less than half the price before I bought any more of them. I like the fact with 10-speed you can now use chains with quick links, so that you can easily remove and re-install the chain for cleaning w/o having to break the chain and then put in a new special pin with a special tool. In fact, the chain that came with my Salsa is a KMC with a quick link.

Sipping beers in the backyard while I hot-smoke a pork loin on the grill. This is truly the life.
