Tried to be a nice guy and let my girlfriends friend borrow one of my bikes so we had to lower the seat. Now my seatpost has scratches in it. #whitepeopleproblems

Today I ran a red and a fat old guy in a Corolla honked and wagged his finger at me.
Should probably listen, though. Couple weeks ago a dude got rearended just down the street, hit and run.

At least come to a full stop on a red light. I've been ticketed for running stops in residential areas (srsly??) twice, so I stop at those too.
On a separate note many people think they're being nice by trying to yield the right of way and wave you through an intersection - I hate that. Then they get pissed when I put my foot down, sit on my top tube and wait at the stop sign... If it's just me and one other vehicle, sure, maybe I'll roll through with their wave, but usually not. If there are other cars at different sides of the intersection, absolutely not/never; it causes confusion.
Follow the rules people!
It also pisses me off royally when cyclists hang in between the lane and the curb at stop lights, preventing cars from turning right on red. It's totally discourteous, and I hate it when I'm driving. When approaching reds, I'll take the lane, even if it puts me a few cars back. Or if I did decide to skip line and ride all the way up to the front of the intersection, I'll at least continually look over and move left in front of the first car in line if someone appears behind me wishing to turn right. People like that kind of courtesy, they wave and smile at you.

What a nice, peaceful sat. morning it is here!
Just chillin alone at home (I live in a 1br apt and my gf is in Puerto Rico w family) on a calm saturday. It's raining/thundering outside, with little to commotion in the apt complex. My doors and windows are open, there's a light breeze, and I'm lazily doing chores and mostly playing the piano or surfing the interwebz whilst sipping coffee. What a nice morning.
I do hope it clears up a little bit so I can shakedown my race bike and open up the legs for tomorrow, but if not, no worries

When declining an offer to let me roll through without the right of way, I'll often take the opportunity to take a drink - to make it worthwhile to me, and clear to them that I wanted to stop. I try to remember to wave "thanks anyhow," too.

Yeah, that's some good body language.
Sitting on the TT gets the point across too

i agree with the above sentiments regarding "the wave through"
most people do not understand the whole "take turns in a counterclockwise rotation" concept in an of itself, and when you throw a ped or a bike into the mix its like:
i do the same, take a seat on the tt, take a sip, or "adjust" something on the bike. most times im better off just waiting till all the cars are gone. people around here suck

The rain thing is partly myth, given a lot of big cities get more rain. But, keep the myth going.
between the airport and Olympia there is a stretch of road that is horrible, and has been for as long as I can remember. It is right as you cross two counties, and I think they are fighting over whose responsibility it is...
The summers here are beautiful, and the winters just enough to know it is winter, but not enough to suffer. But, do not tell anyone.

Cities where it dumps 2" rain one day then roads are dry a couple hours later. VS. .25" rain every day for a couple of months

Today I wish I could say I sold my Trek, but the guy on CL's max was $400. He made a big deal about how he'd need to repack the bearings, which takes like an hour or two.
Shame, cause I woulda sold it for the $500 he originally offered (he dropped to $400 after a test ride).
Oh well. I really want to get this thing off my hands though

About 98% sure I am going to buy a Spesh Venge Pro Race. I am a MTBer at heart, loving this SS adventure, but would like this for an occasional flight on wheels. Posted in the road cycles, but no real meaningful responses. Test road this against the Tarmac yesterday, like this better for how I would use it. Any thoughts from this opinion shy group?

it also drives me bat**** crazy when people stopped at a perpendicular street, clearly see you coming down the road a block away, then inch up and hit the brakes and inch up and hit the brakes then they stop when youre getting close and try and wave you by
if your indecisive ass wouldve just ****ing went noone wouldve even had to slow down. GO!
